Job Description:

As a the receptionist & lead host at Fireside Tavern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service throughout their dining experience. The Fireside Tavern Sherborn receptionist is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding availability and menu options. Maintain a clean and welcoming entrance area. Assist in training new hosts and managing the front-of-house team. Operate Toast Tables to manage seating and reservations Take to go food and beverage orders via phone and walk -in Process payments for to go food accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions with care. Monitor the dining area to ensure bussers know when to flip tables and ensure cleanliness and ambiance, and assist servers when needed with pre-watering tables. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, greeter desk.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for processing payments and making change. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
