Host/Cashier/Server Toney’s Grill & Seafood Market 710 Highway 61 N, Vicksburg, MS 39183 Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier/ Server to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate must have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of the food industry. As a Host/Cashier/ Sever, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued while also managing cash transactions and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant Responsibilities Greet customers warmly as they enter and exit the establishment, providing excellent customer service at all times. Manage cash handling duties, including processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Utilize retail math skills to handle payments, provide change, and manage cash registers. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the café, ensuring a safe environment for both customers and staff. Assist in organizing seating arrangements and managing waitlists during peak hours. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communicate any customer requests or concerns effectively. Uphold company policies regarding food safety and sanitation practices. Make sure tables are assigned to a server and check back to make sure they are taking care of. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred. Strong math skills with an understanding of retail math concepts for accurate cash handling. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle busy periods while maintaining quality service. Experience with cash handling procedures is essential. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. A background in culinary arts or related fields is a plus but not required.
