Host Cypress Hall Kitchen and Bar New Bern, NC 28560 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the restaurant industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and assisting with seating arrangements. A strong emphasis on customer service and effective communication is essential for success in this role. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover. Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless service. Handle phone calls professionally, taking reservations or answering questions about the restaurant. Support the team during busy periods by helping with guest relations and ensuring all guests feel valued. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to create positive guest interactions. A proactive attitude towards helping guests and supporting team members in a fast-paced environment.
