Experienced Host or Hostess Position for Breakfast, Brunch, & Lunch Weekends only Eggs Up Grill Winston Salem 1965 North Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is crucial in managing guest relations and enhancing the dining experience by efficiently coordinating seating arrangements and assisting with guest inquiries. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression. Hold the door and say “thank you and good-bye” as they leave. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction. Provide menus and inform guests about specials or promotions. Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with inquiries and reservations. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall guest relations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Assist in other restaurant duties as needed to support team efforts including cleaning bathrooms along with other duties. Assess wait times to help kitchen staff. Wear a smile as a part of the uniform. Take online orders and assist 3rd party order prep as needed. Help clear and clean tables as needed. Requirements Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in food service or hospitality as a host required Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods. Knowledge of POS systems is a plus but not mandatory. A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
