In this role, you will be the first impression for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your exceptional communication skills and hospitality will play a crucial role in enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize restaurant flow. Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods, ensuring timely updates to guests. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist with menu inquiries and provide recommendations based on guest preferences. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area, including the host stand. Skills Strong background in food service, demonstrating knowledge of restaurant operations. Excellent guest relations skills, with the ability to create a positive dining experience. Proficient phone etiquette, capable of handling calls professionally and efficiently. A genuine passion for hospitality, ensuring every guest feels valued and welcomed. Familiarity with POS systems, including Aloha POS or similar platforms, is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
