The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact for diners, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction. Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times accurately to guests. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Uphold cleanliness and organization at the host stand and entry area to enhance the guest experience. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring their needs are met. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or hospitality roles is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or food service setting. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest relations. Familiarity with Open Table system is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. A passion for helping others and providing outstanding guest services is essential. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
