Job Description

Host NorthStonee Country Club 15801 Northstone Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078 Job Summary (Essential Functions) Take reservations, greet members and their guests, provide accurate wait times, and escort members and their guests to the dining and bar areas. Requires strong organizational and people skills to ensure our members and their guests have a positive experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Job Tasks/Duties Takes member reservations by phone or in-person and maintains reservation book. Inspects all tables daily for proper appearance. Greets members and guests by name and promptly seats them at the appropriate table based on party size and member / guest preference. Works with Food and Beverage Manager to establish a wait list, if necessary, and strives to ensure all members and their guests are seated within quoted wait times. Assists with service of food and beverages in outlets and for special functions when needed. Assists with table clearing and re-setting as needed. Coordinates any special requests, including dietary needs, with the Food and Beverage Server, Food and Beverage Manager, or Executive Chef. Assures that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and consistently followed. Suggests when additional service supplies and small equipment are needed. Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by Food and Beverage Manager or supervisor. Education and/or Experience Grade 12 education. Previous restaurant and/or banquet experience. The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Demonstrates positive attitude and welcoming demeanor, even in pressure situations. Good organizational and follow-through skills. Knowledgeable about the menu, buffet and wine list. Ability to time the service of each course. Learns members’ names and their special preferences. Knowledge of wines and spirits. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations. Licenses and Special Requirements None. Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 20 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
