Host / Hostess @ Nakato Pineville 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 8500 Pineville-matthews Road, Charlotte, NC 28226 Nakato Japanese Steakhouse in south Charlotte is interviewing candidates for an opening at Host / Hostess. We are looking for an experienced, positive-minded team player to help greet and assist our guests. Shifts typically start at 4 PM or 5 PM and end at 9 PM or 10 PM depending if an opening / closing shift and the day of the week.

Hostess Responsibilities:
Greeting guests in a welcoming manner, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary. Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions. Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas. Assigning guests to tables while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers. Engaging with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service. Hostess Requirements:
Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all restaurant staff. Does high-quality work while unsupervised. Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Entering carry-out orders and packaging for customer pick up. Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. Weekend availability is required. Restaurant experience offering similar cuisine a plus.
