This is a part-time position on the weekends. You may pick which parties and hours you would like to host, with hours ranging from 10:00am – 8:00pm on Saturday, and 10am – 5pm on Sundays. Our Idea Lab birthday parties are epic with great reviews online. You will be a part of creating amazing memories for families in a fun, hands-on way of celebrating, and kids learning new things as icing on the cake. Please note this application has required questions, two skills tests, and a video submission. Applications without all three completed will not be considered for interviews.

Responsibilities:

Must have a service first orientation – we are here to serve and create priceless memories. Must have a positive, fun, and celebratory attitude Must have excellent student management skills Read, prepare, and deliver engaging STEAM projects with kids Prep, decorate and organize party room Prepare, organize and clean materials and workspace Prioritize student safety and strictly adhere to supervision and emergency protocols Work with and provide direction and guidance for the birthday host assistant Clean, sanitize the lab, and help set up and prep for the next birthday party.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma Some college courses preferred, especially in STEAM subjects Teaching or childcare experience First Aid / CPR (Certification Training will be provided if needed) Clean background and drug test check Punctuality, reliability, flexibility and professionalism are a must

Offering:

Our parties start at 11am, 2pm, and 5pm and last two hours long. Saturday party hours will be 10am-1:30pm for the first party, 1pm-4:30pm for the second party, and 4pm-7:30pm for the third party. You may pick and choose which parties to host. Sunday party hours will be 10am-1:30pm for the first party, 1pm-4:30pm for the second party. Friday Night party hours will be from 6pm-9:00pm. Pay $15 – $20 depending on relevant experience Certificated teachers pay start at $20-$25/hour Extensive training and strong mentor support for Manager and Director opportunities as IDEA Lab Kids expands throughout Charlotte Launch your teaching career here! 100% of Idea Lab teachers who applied with local school districts have secured a teaching position.
