As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring optimal guest flow. Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations. Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times accurately to guests. Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as necessary. Requirements Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest relations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing reservations effectively.
