Greet Guests Warmly
- Welcome every guest with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
- Acknowledge waiting guests promptly. Manage the Waitlist & Seating
- Keep an accurate, organized waitlist during peak times.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring seating balance throughout the dining room.
- Communicate wait times honestly and courteously. Coordinate Reservations
- Answer phone calls and online inquiries about reservations.
- Enter, modify, and cancel reservations in the restaurant’s booking system. Maintain Dining Room Flow
- Monitor table turnover and communicate needs (e.g., bussing, cleaning) to servers and bussers.
- Adjust seating pace to optimize guest satisfaction and server workload. Assist with Guest Inquiries & Requests
- Provide menus, answer questions about specials, and relay food allergies or seating preferences to the kitchen/front-of-house team.
- Offer takeout menus or suggest return visits for catering/delivery as needed. Support Front‑of‑House Team
- Help run food and drinks to tables if the dining room is busy.
- Restock hostess stand supplies (menus, pens, reservation book/tablet) and ensure the stand is clean and organized. Maintain a Professional Appearance & Station
- Keep your uniform clean and neat.
- Ensure the host stand and entrance area are free of clutter and well-presented. Handle Payments & Takeout Orders (if applicable)
- Process payments for to‑go orders.
- Package to‑go orders neatly and accurately. Promote Specials & Events
- Inform guests about current promotions (e.g., birthday discount BDAY25) or upcoming events.
- Encourage guests to follow the restaurant on social media. Uphold Safety & Sanitation Standards
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
