Expert knowledge of any and all menu offerings as well as Beer, Wine, Liquor and Specialty Cocktails Strong understanding and execution of technical service as defined by the Service Training Manual Strong understanding of timing related to each individual dining experience I.e. a business meeting, Date, Family style dinner or special celebrations Perform all side work assigned to your shift including but not limited to: Detailing your section, restocking all necessary supplies, Rolling and Polishing Silverware and glassware, and the general cleanliness of the restaurant Responsibly handling all cash and credit card transactions through the Aloha POS system Maintaining a high level of enthusiasm and positivity while in the dining room at all times Uphold a high standard of sanitation and personal hygiene at all times An enthusiastic commitment to continued education related to the restaurants culture and traditions Show up for all shifts on time and in a clean well-kept uniform as per your training manual Understand the policies regarding the responsible serving of alcohol to all guests of legal age Understand how to navigate negative guest feedback using recognition, speed and recovery as defined in the Service Training manual The ability and willingness to step out of your usual role to accommodate the needs of guests regardless of the circumstances and day to day job duties An expert understanding of genuine hospitality as defined by all Empire Eats establishments Assisting servers in pre bussing tables throughout the shift Emptying all bus tubs that are full by properly placing all items in the dish area of the kitchen Clearing and cleaning all tables and chairs as guests leave the restaurant and getting them ready to be sat again quickly and efficiently Setting up and breaking down large parties or getting them set up for business Quickly responding to any spills in the restaurant ensuring that our guests and employees can navigate safely and using the Wet Floor sign when applicable Sweeping all areas outside seeing to it that the restaurant looks clean and neat for our guests Perform all side work assigned to your shift Ensuring that food gets delivered to the table as soon as it’s available Closely monitoring the appearance of the plates going out of the kitchen Following the proper procedure for serving our guests their meals as outlined in the Food Runner Training Manual Clearing away anything on the table that the guest is not using or does not need before stepping away from the table Making sure the guest has everything they need before you leave the table as is described in the operation manual Closely monitoring the timing of the tables, not allowing food to get to the table until the guest is ready for it Assist the expediter when needed Communicate any complications to both the manager and the expediter to get the problem resolved quickly and correctly The ability to step out of your usual role to accommodate the needs of guests regardless of the circumstances and day to day job duties
