The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations and enhancing guest satisfaction. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables. Manage reservations and keep an accurate waitlist during busy periods. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service. Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, providing helpful information about the menu and restaurant services. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area, including menus and dining materials. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels valued and appreciated. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong guest relations skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Proficiency in using POS systems for managing reservations and orders. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on phone etiquette. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
