As a Host/Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued while managing the cash register and assisting with various front-of-house operations. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements. Take guest orders accurately and enter them into the Toast POS system. Process payments swiftly and accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Provide assistance with menu selections and answer any questions regarding food and beverage offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and dining room. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism, enhancing overall guest relations. Skills Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, demonstrating an understanding of restaurant operations. Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
