Host/Expo/Busser Gibb’s Garage Bar & Grille 3612 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, NH 03801 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, facilitating timely service and enhancing guest experiences. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of restaurant operations, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and servers to ensure timely delivery to guests. Monitor the progress of food preparation and communicate with kitchen staff regarding order status. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all areas meet health and safety standards. Provide support to servers by helping with guest requests and ensuring guest satisfaction. Utilize POS system effectively for order entry and tracking. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette. Collaborate with team members to enhance overall guest relations and service quality. Skills Proficiency in POS or similar restaurant management systems is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest services and satisfaction. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with guests and staff. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
