Position Summary:
We are seeking a poised, welcoming, and highly organized Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this front-facing role, you will set the tone for the dining experience by greeting guests with warmth, managing reservations and seating with efficiency, and ensuring a smooth flow throughout the dining room. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and genuinely enjoys creating a memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet all guests with a warm, professional demeanor upon arrival Manage reservations and walk-ins using Tabit Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate accurate wait times Escort guests to tables and communicate relevant information to servers (e.g., celebrations, allergies) Monitor the pace of service and table turns to optimize seating and flow Handle phone inquiries and assist with guest questions or requests Maintain a clean and welcoming entry area and host stand Coordinate closely with the management and service team to ensure smooth nightly operations Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
Requirements:
Previous experience in a host or guest service role (fine dining or upscale preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor Comfortable with reservation platforms and basic technology Strong organizational and time-management skills Availability Sunday through Thursday (Fridays and Saturdays off)
