un ⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Hostess Basilico Restaurant 324 Millburn Ave compensation: $23.00 per hour employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Hostess We are looking for a part time position primarily for Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 PM to 9 PM with occasional weekday evening shifts available as needed. Please send us your resume and we call you for interview. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting, seating, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll manage the front of house flow, maintain a waitlist when necessary, and support the team in delivering excellent service
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests warmly and promptly upon arrival
- Manage waitlists and reservations using OpenTable
- Seat guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor table turnover and communicate with servers and management
- Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to stand for extended periods and handle busy shifts along with multitasking
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment Principals only.
