Hostess/Host Locale 51 Oceanport Avenue, Little Silver, NJ 07739 Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your exceptional hospitality skills will help set the tone for our restaurant, making guests feel valued and appreciated from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and manage the seating arrangements efficiently. Utilize strong phone etiquette to handle reservations and inquiries, ensuring clear communication with guests. Assist in managing waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates to guests. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Familiarize yourself with the menu to assist guests with questions about food service options. Operate the POS system, , for processing reservations and managing guest information. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest services. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively interact with guests and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help create memorable dining experiences for all guests.
