The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is hiring a part-time Host to join our team at Buffalo Airport in Buffalo, New York. As a Host, you will be responsible for welcoming guests and managing the host station. On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of Areas. Areas will operate 369 locations in 27 airports and 12 travel plazas nationwide, with a U.S. workforce of over 6,000. What will you do?
Review floor plan and reservation book daily to create seating charts
Seat guests and maintain control of wait times
Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, and thank guests as they are leaving
Answer restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation
More about you
Prior experience in a guest service/food service environment
Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Customer service experience
Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
Physical requirements
Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift
Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
