Experienced Maitre D’ / Lead Host
Location:
Rosticceria Evelina – 455 Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn, NY Rosticceria Evelina, a vibrant and busy Italian restaurant in the heart of Fort Greene, is seeking a polished, experienced, and hospitality-driven Maitre D’ / Lead Host to join our front-of-house team.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re in search of someone with a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and a natural ability to make guests feel welcome. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Prior experience as a Maitre D’, Head Host, or in a similar guest-facing role in a quality-driven restaurant is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage reservations and book large parties via phone and email Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism Liaise with servers to help manage floor flow and guest experience Assist front-of-house with taking orders, running drinks, and maintaining a smooth service Act as the face of the restaurant during busy services
Requirements:
Full-time availability, including evenings and weekends Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a hospitality or fine-casual dining setting Proficiency with reservation systems (e.g., Resy, Toast) is a plus Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Why Join Us?
