Dining Room Hostess The White Whale 3580 Bayview Street, Seaford, NY 11783 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dining Room host or hostess to oversee the daily operations of our dining area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant and hospitality management, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service in a welcoming environment. You will be responsible for managing guest interactions, and maintaining high standards of food service. Duties Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest experience. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Utilize POS systems for order processing and payment transactions. Experience Familiarity with food service operations, including knowledge of menu items and dining etiquette. Proficiency in using POS systems. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist guests effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
