Host Lucharitos 199 2nd Street, Mineola, NY 11501 Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations within the restaurant. Your hospitality skills will shine as you manage reservations, greet guests, and facilitate seating arrangements. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction. Assist guests with reservations and provide information about menu offerings and specials. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance their dining experience. Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and tracking guest flow. Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of service are met consistently. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing reservations and seating arrangements. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of food service operations and guest services is beneficial.
