Hostess/Cashier The White Whale 3580 Bayview Street, Seaford, NY 11783 Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be essential in creating a positive dining experience. Duties Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with seating options. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS system. Take orders accurately and process payments through the POS system. Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and services offered. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow. Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service throughout each shift. Requirements Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with POS system is a plus. Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and a willingness to help others, enhancing guest relations. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
