We are seeking a polished, gracious, and detail-oriented Host to serve as the first impression of our rooftop lounge. In this key front-facing role, you will set the tone for each guest’s evening by managing the flow of reservations and arrivals with poise and efficiency. Responsibilities Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and a refined sense of hospitality Manage nightly reservations and walk-ins to ensure a seamless and balanced flow of service Coordinate seating arrangements with grace and discretion, always considering guest experience and table strategy Liaise with management, servers, and bar staff to maintain fluid communication throughout service Provide knowledgeable assistance to guests regarding the menu, venue policies, and general inquiries Maintain a polished and organized host stand that reflects the high standards of Hudson VU Handle guest concerns with professionalism and thoughtful resolution, always aiming to elevate the experience Support the larger front-of-house team to ensure consistent and exceptional service throughout the venue Qualifications Prior experience in a host or front desk role within an upscale restaurant, lounge, or hotel preferred Impeccable communication skills and a natural ability to engage with guests courteously and confidently Highly organized with the ability to manage reservations, guest requests, and real-time logistics under pressure Familiarity with reservation platforms (Resy, OpenTable, TOCK) and POS systems (Toast or similar) is a plus A professional and polished demeanor suited to a refined, high-volume setting Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required At Hudson VU, hospitality is both an art and a standard.
