Host Tomato Pie Cafe 23 North Broad Street, Lititz, PA 17543 Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff. Duties Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover. Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours while communicating wait times accurately to guests. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Requirements Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
