The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables. Manage reservation systems and maintain an accurate waitlist. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely service. Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the menu and specials. Assist in managing the flow of guests during busy periods to optimize seating arrangements. Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries. A proactive approach to helping guests and ensuring their needs are met.
