Guest Hostess The Peacock 213 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining smooth operations within the restaurant. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction. Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring positive guest relations. Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating efficiently. Answer phone calls with proper etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Skills Strong guest services skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. Experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred. Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Strong phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
