The Maitre D’ starts the guest experience off with a positive presence that matches the restaurant’s style. Engaging with the guests, displaying confidence, and being prepared to seat are key attributes for the Maitre D’ position. Previous experience as a host or maitre d’ is required. 167 works with RESY as a guest book and table assignment, previous experience with RESY is a plus. This position works closely with the management team to communicate private events, special requests, seating during service, and training new maitre d’ hires. With a mix of reservations and walk-ins, the Maitre D’ is able to organize the seating to ensure maximizing the tables. Strategizing and making adjustments to the seating during service is the key to the maximizing of the dining room. The Maitre D’ communicates the table needs to the team and sets the flow of the seating. 167 has high standards for hospitality and customer service. The maitre d’ staff greets guests with an inviting and sincere welcome, engaging with them on the menu and restaurant offerings. 167 encourages the maitre d’ team to take notes in RESY and remember frequenting guests. This position will have 20
- 30 hours a week. Lunch and dinner shifts available. Each shift is approximately 5
- 6 hour shifts from 10:30am
- 5pm or 5pm
