Hostess/Cashier Gondolier Italian Restaurant 544 East Broadway Boulevard, Jefferson City, TN 37760 Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing excellent customer service. You will also handle cash transactions and assist with various tasks to enhance the dining experience. Manage the waitlist and ensure timely seating for guests. Take and process customer orders using the POS system efficiently. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain the cash register. Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls and taking reservations when necessary. Support team members in delivering high-quality food service during busy periods. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and provide outstanding guest experiences. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
