We serve a three-course prix fixe dinner nightly in a beautiful historic setting, complete with candlelight, hand-hewn beams, and classic New England charm.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional, personable, and organized Host / Maitre D’ to lead our front-of-house team. This role is responsible for managing guest flow, reservations, seating, and ensuring seamless communication between the kitchen and service staff. Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
• Manage the dining room flow and guest experience
• Coordinate closely with chefs, bartenders, and service staff
• Oversee and maintain daily reservations and seating charts
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
• Maintain ambiance (lighting, music, cleanliness) during service
• Handle special occasion arrangements and large party bookings
• Lead the front-of-house team and assign nightly stations
• Communicate menu changes and updates with staff

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred (will train the right person)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Comfortable using reservation and point-of-sale systems
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Availability during evenings, weekends, and some holidays
