POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Guest Services Representative (“GSR”) position must demonstrateand promote a strong commitment to providing the best possibleexperience for our guests. This position is responsible forassisting guests, answering phones, checking guests in and out, andcollecting payment in accordance with company guidelines andprocedures. The GSR also is responsible for completing allnecessary front office daily paperwork and ensuring that companysafety and security procedures, guidelines and standards arefollowed for all associates and guests. MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing thebest possible experience for our guests. Assists and responds to guest requests with diligentfollow-through. Job functions include empowerment to resolve guest issuesthrough the Make it Right process. The GSR must embrace ESA’sservice culture and treat all guests and associates with the utmostof respect and kindness. Must be able to process reservations, registration, payment,and departures in accordance with company guidelines andprocedures. Handle collection efforts of all in-house balances. The GSR isresponsible for maintaining all cash, credit card and city ledgeraccounts at the property. Setup, maintain, and takedown of breakfast display in timelymanner. Maintaining an organized and clean work area behind the frontdesk, in the lobby, and in guest common areas in compliance withcompany standards. Selling the value of ESA to all inquiries (via telephone and inperson) and striving to convert them into reservations and occupiedrooms in compliance with company standards. Collecting relevant guest information in accordance withguidelines, probing for potential sales leads, and identifyingsales opportunities. Periodic tours of the property to ensure the property ismeeting brand standards. Assists and provides reasonable accommodation in response toguest requests whenever possible and practical Compliance with all company policies and procedures, includingbut not limited to adhering to key control policy, the promptreporting of all safety and security issues directly to the manageror to the appropriate authorities.
OTHER DUTIES
Responsible for maintaining overall hotel cleanliness,including assisting with cleaning and upkeep of various areas ofthe hotel, including but not limited to the front desk, associatebreakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwellsand common areas. Engage in cross training in housekeeping and laundry areas toprovide assistance as needed. Other tasks as assigned by the management team. .

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
Understand and communicate in English proficiently to interactwith guests, associates and outside vendors. Proficient operation of the property management systemtechnology. Requires the ability to work through all shift reportsand perform the audit function when necessary and assigned. Understand and comply with documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Complete routine reports and correspondence. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Apply good judgment at all times. Manage problems, address and solve guest-related issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or oneto three months related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
