Position Summary:

Front Desk Agents are responsible for assisting guests during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay in order to ensure our guests have an enjoyable experience at the hotel. As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location. Front Desk Agents must have a high level of professionalism, effective decision-making skills, and strong administrative skills. Front Desk Agents have a demanding role and will be on their feet for most of the day. Front Desk Agents must have a flexible schedule and may be asked to work nights, weekends, or holidays when necessary.

Your day-to-day:

 Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.  Manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and telling guests about ways they may improve their stay.  Handle cash and credit transactions, including counting the cash drawer at the beginning and end of your shift.  Start every stay right by swiftly checking guests in and out.  Stay one step ahead of guests’ needs – record and act on their preferences, and handle their messages, requests, questions, and concerns.  Be a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from billing issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary.  Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador.  Make sure the lobby and front desk area remains clean at all times.  Must assist all guests with their luggage and be able to lift 50lb comfortably.  Communicate with housekeeping about late check-outs and room availability.  Complete general reporting and administrative duties during the shift.  Act with honesty and integrity at all times throughout your job duties.  Jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your help.  Must follow and complete daily checklist provided by the General Manager.
