Overview:
We are searching for a hospitality professional to fulfill various responsibilities related to the upkeep and operation of the grounds. Qualified candidates should have previous experience in housekeeping, customer service and clerical work, and be flexible and motivated to meet whatever needs arise at the campground day-to-day. Candidates should have strong communication and inter/intrapersonal skills. The role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and demonstrate self-motivation, whether working independently or as part of a team. Maintaining a professional and positive attitude is extremely important.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Providing as-needed assistance and information to campers, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction during their stay at the campground.
Office Duties:
Perform a variety of office tasks, including communicating with customers, resolving issues, answering phones, making reservations, and completing and filing paperwork. Employees must familiarize themselves with the campground layout and understand how to accurately assign guests to appropriate sites within the booking system. Effective communication with coworkers is essential to ensure tasks are completed and smooth transitions occur throughout the day. Additional responsibilities include dusting shelves, checking expiration dates, restocking displays and supplies, ordering inventory, and maintaining accurate stock records.
Cash Handling :
Accurately counting cash drawers, processing transactions, and handling cash and credit card payments.
Sales:
Selling products in our store by showcasing their features and benefits and effectively closing sales.
Cleaning :
Performing cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathhouses and cabins while completing and maintaining cleaning checklists or logs and be able to identify and promptly resolve/report any damages or missing items in cabins after guest departure. Driving a golf cart with cleaning supplies to and from facilities in various weather conditions.
Security:
Maintain the safety and security of the campground by enforcing rules, monitoring the premises, and responding to any suspicious activity, wildlife concerns, or incidents—reporting to the appropriate authorities if the situation cannot be resolved on-site.
Required:
Valid driver’s license. ABO certification, or the ability to obtain certification within one month of hire. A clear understanding of proper safety practices and the ability to apply them in day-to-day operations. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, and performing tasks in various weather conditions.
