Job Overview:

Courtyard by Marriott Mahwah is looking for a dependable and guest-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team for the evening shift (3 PM to 11 PM) . As the first point of contact for guests during this busy time, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming experience by providing excellent service, handling check-ins and check-outs, and responding to guest needs with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist guests during check-in/check-out with courtesy and efficiency. Manage room assignments, process reservations, and handle cancellations or modifications. Process payments, post charges, and reconcile accounts accurately. Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and Marriott Bonvoy membership. Communicate guest requests or concerns to appropriate departments promptly. Monitor the lobby area, ensuring it remains clean, welcoming, and secure. Follow all Marriott and hotel policies related to safety, privacy, and brand standards. Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience in hotel is required. Prior front desk, hotel, hospitality experience preferred; Marriott brand experience is a plus. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable working independently during evening hours. Proficient with computers; experience with Marriott PMS (Fosse or Opera) is a plus. Availability to consistently work evening shifts (3 PM – 11 PM) , including weekends and holidays.
