Afternoon/Evening Hotel Guest Services (part of IHG Hotels & Resorts) 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Budd Lake, NJ 07828 We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and dependable candidate with excellent people skills for the position of Guest Service Agent, who is responsible for providing outstanding guest service while handling various administrative tasks, among other duties. The Guest Service Agents must have tremendous patience and charisma when dealing with guests and accommodate their every need with enthusiasm and poise.

Some of the duties/requirements are:

Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations Welcome guests, check them in, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities Take payment from customers, ensuring security and PCI compliance are maintained Respond to guests’ issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner Explain local amenities and attractions to guests Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs Assist customers with the planning of special events such as weddings and business conferences Arrange specialized services for VIP customers High school diploma or GED At least one year of customer service experience One year of front desk experience in the hospitality industry is highly preferred Excellent verbal communication skills Availability to work shifts as noted below, including weekends and holidays Familiarity with Opera PMS check-in software Ability to solve client issues in a friendly and timely fashion Friendly and welcoming demeanor This is primarily an afternoon/evening position with shifts from 2pm-10pm. Occasionally business need may necessitate varying shifts to also include 10am-6pm as needed. Weekend availability is required . Flexibility with schedule is a plus. A typical work week for this position would be Wednesday – Sunday, 2pm-10pm shift. Candidates must be prompt, dependable, and professional in both appearance and demeaner. Flexibility to work well both on your own as well as with other associates is essential. Ability to work independently the entire 2pm-10pm shift is required, with the understanding that this position requires working weekends as the regular schedule.
