Job Description

Hybrid Front Desk Agent & Valet Associate The Restoration Hotel Charleston 75 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401 Overview The Hybrid Front Desk Agent & Valet Associate is responsible for providing outstanding guest service in all interactions, whether assisting with check-in/check-out procedures and inquiries at the front desk or ensuring the safe and efficient parking and retrieval of guest vehicles. This role requires flexibility and the ability to seamlessly transition between these responsibilities based on the hotel’s operational needs.

Responsibilities Front Desk Agent Duties:

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure. Efficiently and accurately process guest check-ins and check-outs, including verifying identification, processing payments, and issuing room keys. Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, providing information, taking reservations, and directing calls as needed. Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction. Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and directions. Maintain accurate guest records and update information as needed. Operate the hotel’s property management system (Opera) efficiently. Assist with concierge duties as needed, such as making restaurant reservations or arranging transportation. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely. Follow all hotel policies and procedures.

Valet Associate Duties:

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. Safely and efficiently park guest vehicles in designated areas, adhering to all traffic laws and hotel parking procedures. Retrieve guest vehicles promptly upon request. Assist guests with luggage and belongings, ensuring their safe handling. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the valet parking area and guest vehicles. Follow all hotel policies and procedures. Experience Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in a guest service role, preferably in a hotel environment. Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members. skills are a plus to cater to diverse clientele. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is beneficial for valet services. A strong commitment to providing excellent guest services in a fast-paced environment.
