•The Wyndham Garden in Columbia is hiring Front Desk Agents for a Front Desk Position Second Shift (3pm to 11pm) Third Shift (11pm to 7am) 1 years of Hotel Front Desk experience preferred but not required. Must be Flexible. Willing to work Am and Pm shifts! Full Time or Part time status to be determined once training is completed.

Job Purpose:

The front desk is often the first point of contract and the first impression for guests. Warm knowledgeable service and helpful guidance and reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner, also recalling returning guests. Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location. Ensure required identification is taken from guests at check-in line Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner Up-Sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue Answer, Record, and Process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established hotel procedures Communicate any outstanding guests requests or issues to management that may require action Take action to resolve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all time. Immediately report ant health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager duty May routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups that are requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on changes Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedure

Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED One Year of Hotel Front Desk Preferred but not required

Basic Computer skills to operate property management Applications Strong Communication Skills College Level Verbal Articulatory Skills Being Passionate about servicing guests
