Ensure the Rooms Division operation runs efficiently and effectively in compliance with the hotel’s operation standards. Ensure the external contract companies providing valet, transportation, operations run efficiently and effectively in compliance with the hotel’s operating standards. Set measurable departmental objectives. Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures. Establish and strengthen teamwork within and between departments. Measure performance of department managers through the timely completion of performance reviews. Ensure departmental training is carried out according to hotel requirements and off the job training is supported. Ensure communication between departments is effective. Ensure all standards are achieved to provide the expected level of service to guests. Assist in the process of continuously improving service levels within all operating departments. Work with the Division Heads in conjunction with Human Resources to identify service breakdowns and offering solutions to reduce and eliminate the deficiency as they relate to the overall Hotel Experience. Strategic Thinking Supervisory Responsibility This role manages and directs staff members in engineering, quality, housekeeping, front office, etc. The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports and for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the employee to lift at least 25 pounds infrequently. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days vary based on business needs. This includes weekends, holidays, evenings and/or overnight shifts. Required Education and Experience A minimum of (3) years of management experience in Hospitality. Bachelor degree in hospitality management preferred or equivalent relevant management experience. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues. Flexible schedule. Able to work weekends and holidays. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality or hotel management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or GM role. Proven track record of managing operations across multiple departments, including Housekeeping, Front Office, and Maintenance. Strong background in asset management and facility upkeep. Experience managing budgets, payroll, and expense controls. Ability to interpret and act on guest feedback and reviews to drive service excellence. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff at all levels. Proficient with hotel management software and reporting tools. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. Familiarity with Florida labor laws and workplace compliance.
