Job Description:
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures. Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Assists with managing all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment. Handle VIP arrivals, special requests, and guest recovery cases with discretion and professionalism. Continuously monitor guest feedback and implement improvements. Lead, train, and develop front office staff including front desk agents, bell staff, concierge, and night audit team. Foster a culture of excellence, empowerment, and service orientation. Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions. Manage daily front office operations including check-in/check-out, room assignments, and lobby flow. Ensure accurate billing, reservation handling, and room inventory control. Monitor and maintain proper staffing levels based on occupancy forecasts. Develop and manage the front office budget; control payroll and departmental expenses. Liaise with housekeeping, engineering, and food beverage to ensure smooth communication and service delivery. Respond to emergencies and incidents involving guests or staff in a calm, professional manner. Ensure adherence to safety, health, and security protocols. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Responsible for Front Office Department and perform work functions in accordance with hotel and franchise standards. Direct, implement and maintain a strong service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff. Qualifications Minimum three years of front office management experience in the hospitality industry. Ability to communicate with guests, management and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner. High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls. Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele. Ideal candidate will have luxury resort and Opera PMS experience
