Maintains accountability for the cost,utilization, and performance of employees and equipment. Forecast monthlyoccupancy and house count for the hotel. Controls the selling of rooms and rates directly andthrough reservation system to obtain maximum occupancy and revenue Monitor payroll and control costs, remaining within budget. Promotes positive guest and employee relations. Always promotes proper sanitation and safety for guests and employees. Hires and trains new hires on brand and property standards. Monitor the performance of personnel and make changes when necessary. Establishes and maintains a two-week schedule out from the current week Resolves employee or guest grievances in a fair and timely way and communicating with the GM Properly stocks and orders front office supplies. Monitors’ expenses. Formulate and implement short- and long-range plans for improving customer service at all levels within the hotel operations, including changes in policy and procedures with approval from GM & HR. Perform departmental duties as the need arises in order to provide and ensure a positive experience for the hotel. Introduce special franchise marketing programs through effective communication and training. Perform duties at the front desk, such as check-ins or check-outs, during peak times. Train all front desk staff on how to deal with emergency situations, per GM instruction. Receives and process advance deposit payments works with Sales Dept. with contracts. Greets VIP/important guests. Performs shift duties in an accurate and timely manner. Follows all company policies as they relate to pertinent areas. Ensures all hotel funds are accounted for through proper accounting procedures, shift balancing and closing
Skill Requirements:
Understand basic mathematics and calculating labor cost. Must be courteous, professional and able to communicate appropriately with guests and employees. Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of client information and hotel data. Ability to recruit, train and monitor the performance of personnel. Ability to work without direct supervision Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to compute mathematical calculations and working knowledge of basic computer and POS systems. Clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment. Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems. Cash handling, basic office equipment, computer knowledge, telephone skills, safety, security, PCI / Credit Card understanding.
Physical Requirements:
Standing long periods of time, walking, twisting, bending, lifting, kneeling, and stooping as needed.
Education:
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
