Job Overview
Tideline Palm Beach Ocean Resort & Spa is a luxury 134-room boutique property on the shores of Palm Beach. We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Resort Operations Manager to oversee our Housekeeping and Maintenance departments. This key leadership role ensures our property remains pristine, safe, and elegant while meeting the highest standards expected of a luxury hotel experience.
The Resort Operations Manager leads a team responsible for both the cleanliness of our guest rooms and public spaces and the upkeep of our hotel facilities and systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive operator who balances strong leadership with an eye for detail and who thrives in both strategic planning and hands-on execution. A passion for internal service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Directly manage the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
Hands-On Management
Be present in the operation daily by inspecting rooms, supporting deep cleaning projects, ensuring minor maintenance is completed promptly, and leading by example.
Operational Standards
Maintain luxury cleanliness and safety standards throughout all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. Conduct detailed quality inspections regularly.
Preventive Maintenance
Lead the implementation of routine inspections and a preventive maintenance schedule to keep all systems and facilities in optimal condition.
Inventory and Supplies
Manage inventories of linens, amenities, cleaning products, tools, and maintenance parts to ensure availability and cost-efficiency.
Efficiency and Innovation
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance guest satisfaction and operational output.
Interdepartmental Communication
Collaborate with Front Office, Spa, and Food and Beverage teams to coordinate room status, repairs, and special requests.
Service Recovery
Ensure swift and professional resolution of any guest issues related to room cleanliness, safety, or facility function.
Safety and Compliance
Uphold all safety standards and regulatory compliance including OSHA across both departments.
Reporting
Maintain records and provide leadership with updates on inspections, repairs, labor use, and key performance indicators.
Qualifications
Five or more years in hotel operations or facilities or housekeeping management, ideally in a luxury resort or high-end hospitality setting
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams with a hands-on approach
Deep knowledge of luxury housekeeping standards and basic facility maintenance
Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills
Effective communicator and collaborator across departments
Proficiency with hotel systems, maintenance logs, and inspection tracking tools
High school diploma required; a degree in Hospitality or Facilities Management is a plus
Flexible schedule and availability for emergencies, weekends, and holidays as needed
