Must be flexible with schedule, five-day work week; can be any days Sunday through Saturday with shifts of 7am-3pm, 11am-7pm, 3-11pm, or 11pm-7am. This is a designated position and may require employee to work when the university is closed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience working in supervisory role, preferably in hotels
Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)

Position Summary:
  • Serve as Manager on Duty
  • Supervise front office employees to ensure efficient and high-quality guest experience
  • Support team members in handling guest requests and complaints in order to achieve a positive outcome
  • Communicate with team members, so that employees on duty are fully aware of relevant matters related
    to guests and/or other departments
  • Perform bucket checks, income auditing, and monitor room inventories
  • Understand all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other product knowledge
    necessary to perform daily duties and help maximize revenue opportunities
  • Monitor guest billing arrangements
  • Knowledge of hotel’s fire, health, and safety regulations and, when required, act in accordance with
    these policies and procedures
  • Assist Front Office Manager and Front Office Assistant Manager
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • Build strong relationships and cooperate with other hotel departments Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or
