Job Description
General Manager enVision Hotels 31 Hampshire Street, Mansfield, MA 02048 enVision Hotels is seeking candidates for the position of General Manager in Mansfield, MA. The primary role of the general manager is to reinvigorate the hotel and bring it up to brand standards. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the hotel, maintenance of customer service operating standards and new marketing and sales programs designed to attract new customer groups to the property.
Requirements:
Interview, select, train, coach, schedule and provide feedback to associates to ensure performance in accordance with hotel operational and customer service standards. Oversee all hotel departments to ensure optimal level of service and hospitality are provided to customers according to the newly established brand standards. Develop and coordinate with the corporate leadership team in the preparation of revenue and expense budgets and ensure hotel performance within financial and operational guidelines. Develop, monitor and coordinate with corporate revenue management appropriate rate and sales strategies to maximize room and cafe revenues. Hands on management/leadership style with the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing market and business conditions. Critically review financial, operational, marketplace reports and statistics to access performance and make operational adjustments to meet established targets. Maintain a positive and supportive environment for associates of the hotel and communicate regularly with the community and corporate staff about key staff developments. Ensure a safe working environment for all associates and handle associate issues in a positive and respectful manner in accordance with corporate guidelines. Global Vision Hotels requires general managers to be completely hands on and accept responsibility for all aspects of the operation of their business. Communication, interactions with guests and a high standard of operational excellence combined with a strong work ethic is necessary to set the on property example for all managers and associates of the hotel. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a General Manager in a full service hotel property. Experience in hotel operations and sales/marketing capacity preferred.
