Position Overview:
The Hotel Front Desk Manager oversees the front desk operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient management of front office activities. This role involves leading a team of front desk staff, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming environment to enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and train front desk staff to deliver high-quality guest service. Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries promptly and professionally. Address and resolve guest complaints or issues to ensure satisfaction. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs. Monitor and maintain front desk operations, including scheduling, cash handling, and reporting. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of reservations, occupancy, and revenue. Promote hotel services and amenities to enhance guest engagement and revenue. Handle administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and managing budgets. Ensure compliance with Choice Hotels brand requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in hotel front desk operations preferred. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in hospitality or a related field. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in hotel management or similar software and Microsoft Office. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and a guest-focused attitude. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
