About the
Property:
Set on over 200 acres of rolling hills and scenic countryside in the heart of the Hudson Valley, 1661 Kings Highway is a one-of-a-kind destination featuring a craft brewery, boutique winery, barn event venue, tasting room, and forthcoming luxury resort and hospitality experience. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Resort Manager to lead this next phase of growth and elevate our brand into a premier, year-round destination for guests, weddings, corporate retreats, and epicurean getaways.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Resort Manager to take the reins of this evolving, multifaceted property. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospitality operations, event management, and team leadership, with an eye for guest experience, profitability, and strategic growth. This is a unique opportunity for a driven hospitality leader to shape and scale a luxury resort property from the ground up. This country-western resort with a renaissance feel is seeking its wagon boss! Calling all urban cowboys with 5 years of luxury resort hospitality experience to climb on the saddle and giddy on up for the ride!
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations across all property divisions: winery, brewery, event spaces, tasting room, and resort accommodations. Lead and inspire a cross-functional team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and service. Drive guest experience standards, ensuring consistent, luxury-level service across every touchpoint. Manage P&L, budget planning, vendor relations, inventory, and resource allocation to ensure profitability. Collaborate with ownership to develop and execute a long-term growth and expansion strategy. Coordinate with sales, marketing, and events teams to maximize bookings, brand visibility, and community partnerships. Implement systems and SOPs to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance management for a growing team of hospitality professionals.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in hospitality leadership, preferably with resort, boutique hotel, winery/brewery, or high-end event venues. Proven ability to manage and scale multifaceted operations with attention to both vision and execution. Experience with luxury service standards, team leadership, and guest satisfaction. Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and business KPIs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in rural or destination properties a plus. Passion for hospitality, wine, craft beer, food and immersive guest experiences.
