Job Description
Hotel Front Office Manager 1.0 1.0 out of 5 stars 1201 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 Manages the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping) and manages staff. Conduct room inspections as needed. Work as Manager on Duty, when necessary. Ensure guests satisfaction. Ensure quality standards of complimentary food service stations are maintained. Handle guest’s special requests and customer complaints. Position will work shifts covering front desk and cleaning rooms as needed. Prepare, copy, and distribute reports as required. Ensure associate attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of guest needs. Perform some Night Audit functions, able to review all Night Audit related functions and able to produce Night Audit reports. Follow up and resolve issues for negative guest reviews and surveys. Manage relationships with third parties. Attend and contribute to periodic meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency. Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings. Coach, train, counsel hourly associates and administer discipline as needed Responsible for room blocking. Assist the General Manager in interview and hiring Participate in department and staff meetings. Assist with other departments, as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Flex Work schedule. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, some college. At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a related field; or a 4-year degree and a minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a related field. Previous Housekeeping and/Front Desk Management experience preferred Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing. Long hours sometimes required. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
