Asst. Bev Manager and Bartenders II. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Lead all beverage operations across concert concessions and external events, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction. Maintain and update all ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certifications and compliance documentation, including history reports. Create and manage staffing schedules for the Assistant Beverage Manager, bartenders, and hire personnel. Oversee product inventory, manage beverage ordering, and maintain organized, accurate file and records systems for accounting. Participate in client upsell meetings and tastings to promote premium offerings and elevate guest experiences. Establish, monitor, and adhere to par stock levels and ordering procedures to ensure cost-effective and efficient inventory management using Barkeep and Excel. Supervise nightly concession close-outs, ensuring accuracy on reporting and accounting procedures. Motivate and lead the beverage team to drive sales growth while maintaining strict compliance with safe service standards. Analyze performance reports to assess product profitability, identify high-performing bars and staff, and pinpoint areas for operational improvement. Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Ensure all beverage service areas are properly staffed, organized, clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall departmental and organizational goals. Onsite Sales and Staff Management (Must be present during operations) The duties listed above are not all inclusive. The person in this position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties. III. Supervisory Responsibilities The Beverage Manager oversees the Assistant Beverage Manager, Bartenders, and hire staff, ensuring all supervisory duties align with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Leading recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Planning, assigning, and managing daily work schedules to ensure efficient service delivery. Training and mentoring staff to uphold quality standards and promote professional growth. Evaluating employee performance and providing constructive feedback through regular appraisals. Recognizing strong performance and administering disciplinary actions when necessary. Handling staff concerns and customer complaints promptly and effectively to maintain a positive work environment and high level of service. IV. Work Requirements and Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Experience At least three years of Beverage/Bar and Event management experience, within a high-end catering/event environment or concessions operation Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Abilities Possession of a current ABC certification/permit. In-depth understanding of event logistics for concerts, meetings, catered events, and special occasions including galas and weddings. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate beverage pricing structures and identify opportunities for upselling based on client needs. Proven ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal staff, donors, musicians, community leaders, event planners, and trade professionals. Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring client satisfaction. Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented approach and the highest level of discretion and professionalism. Capable of working independently with strong judgment and decision-making skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Familiarity with practices and protocols of alcohol distributors.
