Position Summary:
The Overnight Hotel Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all overnight operations of the hotel. Acting as the primary contact for guests and staff during nighttime hours, this position ensures a safe, secure, and seamless guest experience. In addition to supervisory duties, the role includes night audit functions, accounts payable support, and coordination with housekeeping, valet and early morning lobby restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the hotel’s acting overnight leader on-duty, handling guest issues, safety concerns, and operational matters. Supervise overnight staff including housekeeping, public area attendants, and valet personnel. Ensure all nightly reports, reconciliations, and accounting procedures are completed accurately and on time. Post and balance charges, complete audit processes, and prepare end-of-day reports. Perform all front desk functions including checking guests in and out, processing payments, and addressing guest inquiries. Perform accounts payable-related tasks such as invoice coding and data entry. Monitor security systems and coordinate emergency responses as needed. Communicate key overnight updates to the morning management team. Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and common areas to support guest satisfaction and safety.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a hotel night auditor, front desk agent, or overnight supervisor preferred. Strong knowledge of front desk systems (e.g., PMS, POS) and accounting principles. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on behalf of management. Experience with accounts payable or hotel bookkeeping is a plus. Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
