The Executive Housekeeping Manager oversees all housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are met or exceeded throughout the hotel/resort property. This leadership role requires a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with strong organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills.

Key Skills & Competencies:

1. Leadership & Team Management Lead, train, and manage housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, and public area staff. Develop staffing schedules and manage labor costs while maintaining service quality. Motivate team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 2. Operational Excellence Ensure all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet established cleanliness and maintenance standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any deficiencies immediately. Oversee inventory control for linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. 3. Budgeting & Cost Control Manage departmental budget and control expenses. Monitor and optimize productivity and resource use. Recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality. 4. Guest Service & Satisfaction Respond promptly to guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping. Collaborate with front office and maintenance teams to ensure seamless guest experiences. Implement service recovery protocols when needed. 5. Administrative & Reporting Maintain accurate records of attendance, payroll, inventory, and inspections. Generate regular reports for senior management on performance metrics, staffing, and supply usage. Manage vendor relationships for outsourced laundry, supplies, and services. 6. Communication & Collaboration Coordinate daily with other departments, including Front Office, Engineering, and Food & Beverage. Facilitate effective shift handovers and daily briefings. Provide ongoing training and development for the housekeeping team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in a housekeeping leadership role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting. Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, supplies, and environmental services. Proficiency in housekeeping systems (OnQ, Alice, Hotel Effectiveness, Dayforce or similar). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
