Head Housekeeper/Supervisor Beach Hotels of Jacksonville 2580 Mayport Road, Jacksonville, FL 32233 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in the hotel industry. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all areas are impeccably cleaned and organized, creating a welcoming environment for our guests. Duties Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards. Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or events that require additional cleaning services. Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning practices, floor care techniques, and custodial operations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and staff professionally. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
